StudyMind Cookies Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026 · Last updated: 1 October 2026 · Version 1.2 · Operator: TX Fintech Ltd, DIFC Reg. No. CL7465 · Privacy contact: support@txfintech.com
1. About this Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how the website studymind.me (the “Website”), operated by TX Fintech Ltd (“TX Fintech”, “we”, “us” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies. It applies only to the Website. How the StudyMind app stores data on your phone is described in section 21 of our Privacy Policy.
Please read this Cookies Policy together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also store or read information on your device. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
Some cookies are strictly necessary, for example to remember a choice you made. Others, such as analytics cookies, are used to measure how a website is used and need your consent.
3. Your choice
When you first visit the Website, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you click “Accept”. If you click “Reject”, or do not choose, no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics then works without cookies, as described in section 4.3.
You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics stops using cookies and we delete its cookies from your browser.
4. Cookies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| sm_consent | Local storage, set by studymind.me | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so that we do not ask on every page | 12 months, then we ask again |
This item does not identify you and is not sent to us or to anyone else. It does not need your consent.
4.2 Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to count visits and understand which pages are used, so that we can improve the Website.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics (on studymind.me) | Distinguishes visitors with a random identifier | 2 years |
| _ga_TMLLQWJNL8 | Google Analytics (on studymind.me) | Keeps the state of your visit (session) | 2 years |
With your consent, Google Analytics receives information about your visit: the pages you view and when, the website that sent you, your browser, device type and screen size, your language and your approximate location (country or city), which Google works out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, so this data is not used for advertising or linked to your Google account by us.
Google processes this data on our behalf, in Google's data centres, including in the United States. We have set Google Analytics to keep data linked to cookies and other identifiers for 2 months; after that, only summary statistics remain. More information: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
4.3 Google Analytics without cookies
The Website uses Google's “consent mode”. Google Analytics is loaded on every page, but until you accept analytics cookies it does not set or read any cookie and does not store an identifier on your device. In that state it sends Google only basic signals without identifiers, for example that a page was viewed, the time, the type of browser and device, and your approximate location, which Google works out from your IP address. Google uses these signals to estimate visitor numbers in aggregated statistics; they cannot be used to recognise you on another visit. Advertising features stay switched off whatever you choose.
We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit the Website. If you prefer that no data at all is sent to Google, you can use your browser's tracking protection or an extension that blocks Google Analytics.
4.4 Cookies we do not use
The Website does not use advertising or marketing cookies, social media cookies or tracking pixels, and does not load other companies' content, such as videos, maps or social media buttons.
5. Other websites
The Website links to other websites, such as the App Store and Google Play. Those websites have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.
6. Server logs and the account deletion form
The Website's server records technical information about each visit, such as your IP address, the type of browser and the page requested, to keep the Website secure and working. This is done without cookies. How long we keep this information is described in our Privacy Policy.
When you send a request on the Delete your account page, the email address you enter is sent by email to our support team and is not stored on the Website. To prevent misuse of the form, the server keeps a coded (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour. This is done without cookies.
7. How to control cookies in your browser
Besides the cookie settings on the Website, you can see, block and delete cookies in your browser's settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Security”. If you block cookies, the Website still works.
8. Changes to this Cookies Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy, for example if the Website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we start using other cookies that need consent, we will ask for your consent again.
